Technical Lead Manager, Autonomy Evaluation and Intelligence

What the role actually is

Nuro is hiring a technical lead manager for autonomy evaluation and intelligence. The role owns tooling and methods that validate the Nuro Driver, including smart evaluation agents, intelligent metrics, and feedback loops that connect simulation, road data, and model behavior.

This is an engineering leadership role, but its subject is directly relevant to robotics research: how a team decides whether an autonomous system is behaving well enough to deploy.

What you would work on

• Set the technical roadmap for autonomy evaluation and validation systems
• Build or guide intelligent agents and metrics for complex driving interactions
• Use evaluation frameworks to close the loop between model behavior and system improvement
• Lead a team working at the boundary of simulation, ML, and real-world autonomy
