Product Manager, Human Robot Interaction

Own the HRI roadmap for Apptronik's Apollo humanoid, translating market needs into robot and interface priorities.

What the role actually is

Apptronik is hiring a product manager for human-robot interaction on Apollo. The role owns roadmap scope, sequencing, and priorities for how the robot and its interfaces create intuitive, positive experiences for people using or working near the system.

This is a classic robotics product role at the hardware/software boundary. The product manager has to turn customer needs, safety constraints, and interaction goals into executable work across teams.

What you would work on

  • Own and maintain the HRI roadmap for Apollo
  • Translate market and user needs into product requirements, priorities, and release plans
  • Shape robot and interface behaviors that make humanoid operation more intuitive
  • Work across hardware, software, safety, commercialization, and customer-facing teams

What they are asking for

  • Product management experience with technical, hardware/software, robotics, or AI products
  • Ability to define product vision and turn ambiguous market needs into executable roadmaps
  • Comfort collaborating across engineering, design, business, and deployment teams
  • Strong interest in human-centered robotics and commercial humanoid adoption

Why this one is worth a look

HRI is often treated as a research topic, but Apptronik is hiring it as a product ownership problem. That is the interesting shift: someone has to decide which interaction behaviors ship, in what order, and how they map to real customer use.
