Senior Product Manager, Perception and Navigation

Own Apollo's perception and navigation roadmap, from field metrics to release gates for scene understanding.

What the role actually is

Apptronik is hiring a senior product manager for perception and navigation on Apollo. The role owns roadmap, scope, sequencing, and field-readiness decisions across detection, tracking, localization, mapping, and obstacle avoidance.

This is a product role for a core autonomy layer. The work is about turning sensor data, customer needs, field failures, and safety constraints into concrete software priorities for a humanoid robot.

What you would work on

  • Own the roadmap for Apollo's perception and navigation software
  • Define evaluation metrics, field-test regimes, and release criteria
  • Shape requirements for perception data collection, labeling, and deployment feedback loops
  • Partner with sensing, compute, autonomy, UX, industrial design, and product marketing teams

What they are asking for

  • Product management experience with perception, navigation, autonomy, or similarly technical software
  • Ability to translate customer and field insights into executable product requirements
  • Comfort defining metrics for detection, tracking, localization, mapping, latency, and regression risk
  • Practical judgment about safety, failure modes, validation coverage, and on-robot compute limits

Why this one is worth a look

Perception and navigation are where humanoid promises meet messy physical reality. This role is interesting because it asks a product manager to own not just features, but the release discipline that decides when robot understanding is good enough to trust in the field.
