Staff Product Manager, Platform and Infrastructure

What the role actually is

Skydio is hiring a staff product manager to own its Cloud Platform and Infrastructure roadmap. The role covers multi-cloud, multi-region, government-compliant platform capabilities and Skydio's on-prem product line for air-gapped and self-hosted deployments.

This is platform product management for autonomous drone customers who need secure, reliable deployments without slowing down operators in the field.

What you would work on

• Own the roadmap for Skydio's cloud platform, infrastructure, and deployment capabilities
• Productize on-prem, air-gapped, and self-hosted offerings for government and commercial customers
• Translate FedRAMP, CJIS, and related requirements into product and operational requirements
• Coordinate release scope, launch artifacts, customer pilots, and internal enablement across SRE, cloud, security, legal, GTM, and leadership teams

What they are asking for

• Staff-level product judgment for cloud platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or adjacent technical products
• Experience turning customer pain into roadmaps and cross-functional programs
• Familiarity with regulated or compliance-shaped product work such as FedRAMP, CJIS, DoD RMF, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, or financial controls
• Ability to earn engineering trust while translating platform tradeoffs for executives, sales, customers, and auditors

Why this one is worth a look

Robotics companies are becoming infrastructure companies too. Skydio's drones have to operate for public safety, defense, and commercial customers with very different security constraints. This role is about making that deployment complexity feel productized instead of bespoke.
